Common sense dictates that self-identification policies must come with reasonable limits. Activists who insist otherwise are discrediting the LGBT cause.
I'm unaware of anyone suggesting that confiding in a teacher should be labelled a groomer. We are seeing multiple incidences though, of sexually provocative resources and age inappropriate lessons that are being used in classrooms that are questionable, and potentially harmful to kids. In particular, some sex ed materials are incredibly graphic, and makes one wonder what the incentive truly is, for using them with young kids. This does indeed need to be scrutinized.
