Some of you may have noticed that my Substack posting frequency is lower than that of many other Substackers. I wish I could post more, but I have a good excuse: Deeply Problematic is just my hobby site. For the last six years, my full-time work has been at Quillette, an Australian-based outlet that serves an international audience.
Like Deeply Problematic, Quillette tends to present essays (and podcasts) produced from a classically liberal point of view. And like many popular media sites, it offers users the chance to become paid members. At Quillette, such members get access to our entire back-catalogue, select new content, our discussion forums, and early access to Quillette Socials—such as those we’ve recently staged in London, Sydney, and New Orleans. (I’m not usually one for parties, but these meet-ups are a lot of fun.)
Deeply Problematic readers now get a 25% discount on a Quillette subscription if they sign up through this link. (If you click that link, your browser should serve up a pop-up that resembles the image below. If that doesn’t happen, it probably means you’re already a Quillette member. In which case, please accept my gratitude for your support of independent journalism.)
This is a one-time commercial solicitation on my part—not the opening salvo in an ongoing spam fusillade. And so next time you hear from me, it’ll be back to editorial content. Thank you for being a reader—whether of Deeply Problematic, Quillette, or both.
